The birth of a new magazine is a revolutionary act and an urgent necessity.
DEMOCRATS REVIEW is a new European magazine born with a simple ambition: to restore depth, clarity, and democratic purpose to public debate in an age of noise and speed. Where politics is reduced to slogans and outrage, we choose reflection over reaction, context over simplification, and facts over fear.
Created by the Institute of European Democrats and the European Democratic Party, the magazine offers a space for citizens who refuse to see democracy as a shouting match and believe that progress begins with understanding.
Why it matters
For over two decades, fear has shaped Western politics—shrinking our sense of community, eroding trust and weakening democracies. Democrats Review breaks this cycle by reopening minds, offering rigorous journalism, and promoting a culture of shared responsibility and informed optimism.
